Carol Ann Otto, 66, of Cedarville, IL, passed away on March 7, 2022, at home. She was born October 2, 1955, at Fort Belvoir Virginia, to Robert Lowell Kintzel and Verna Marie (Murray) Kintzel. She was a graduate of Freeport High School and on April 10, 1978, married Bradley William Otto in her parent's home in Freeport Illinois. She was co-owner of a bowling alley in Shannon IL, volunteer EMT in Shannon IL, and a bookkeeper for a rental agency in Grosse Pointe MI. She is most proud of her work as a 911 Dispatcher for Grosse Pointe Park Police where she was able to serve her community and help many people. She was also co-owner of a popcorn shop in Rockford MI, co-owner of a computer repair shop in Freeport IL, and worked for State Farm in Freeport IL.
Survivors include her husband Brad Otto of Cedarville IL, three children: Nichole (Jeremy) Bell of Grand Rapids MI, Whitnie (Brad) Snodgrass of Rockford MI, and Kiefer Otto of Chicago IL; five grandchildren: Zoe, Jaxon, Gryffen, Otto and Zeke; Brother Jeff (Cheri) Kintzel of Freeport IL, and sister Sharon (Paul) Welt of Cedarville IL, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death are her Father Robert Kintzel on September 21, 2008, and Mother Verna Kintzel on April 16, 2019.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was an avid reader, talented cook and enjoyed gardening and theater.
At her request, there will not be a funeral. The memorial will be a small family event.
