Brian Lee Hongsermeier, Sr., 65,of Galena, IL passed away on February 28, 2025. He was born on December 29, 1959 in Rockford, IL.

Brian enjoyed comedy, spending time with his family, and a personal relationship with Jesus. His passing has left a void in the hearts of his family, friends, and many more whose lives were touched by him.

Brian was preceded in death by his father, Walter Hongsermeier.

Brian is survived by his mother Betty (McVeigh) Hassebroek, brothers Mark (Rhonda) Hongsermeier, Jeff (Ifunanya) Hongsermeier, Brent (Carrie) Hongsermeier, son Brian (Melissa) Hongsermeier, daughter Stacy (Joe) Meyers, and grandchildren Jaclyn, Josie, Drew, Penelope, and Hayden.

Although Brian's physical presence no longer graces our lives, may his memory be a blessing and his spirit continue to shine brightly in our hearts.

A gathering will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 22, 2025 at Schwarz Park Blvd Chapel, 608 S. Park Blvd in Freeport, IL.
