Brian Collison, 63, of Freeport, IL, died on Saturday April 6, 2024, at Freeport Memorial Hospital. He was born October 2, 1960, in Rockford, IL, to George and Marie (Gustin) Collison. He graduated from Stockton High School in 1978. He married Rebecca Sue Dagel August 17, 1985, at First Baptist Church, Freeport.  She preceded him in death on September 30, 1992. Brian was a faithful and active member of First Baptist Church, serving as a deacon and involved in several ministries over the years.

He is survived by many brothers and sisters: Mark Collison, Sioux Falls, SD; Randy Collison and wife Wendy, Wauconda, IL; Leslie Collison, Peshtigo, WI; Warren Collison, Green Bay, WI; Donald Collison, Canton, IL; Paul Collison and wife Peggy, Shawnee, KS; Kathy Harwood and husband Ron, Daggett, MI; and Amy Schwenk and husband Chad, Windsor, WI.  He is survived by many nephews and nieces as well.

He was preceded in death by his wife Becky, parents George and Marie, and brothers Dexter and Rodney.

Visitation will be held on Friday April 12, from 1 PM – 3 PM, at First Baptist Church, Freeport, IL. A funeral service will follow at 3 PM with Pastor Mark Phillips officiating.

Burial at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Freeport.

A memorial has been established to the family to help with funeral costs.
