Brett Lee Michael, 42, of Freeport, IL, passed away on July 6, 2022, at home. He was born on August 2, 1979, in Freeport to Kathy Reuber (Kohl) and Gary Michael. He graduated in 1999 from an Ombudsman Program. In his lifetime, he has worked at Super Pantry, Newell, Unique Impressions, Kolb Lena Cheese Factory, Burger King, Pearl Valley Egg Farm, Berner Cheese Factory, and other odd jobs. He like to golf with Grama Sandra and play the game Strike Force on his phone. He also like to watch movies and TV with his mom.

Survivors include his mother Kathy Reuber, father Gary Michael, grandmothers Sandra Kohl and Donna Tenley, many aunts, uncles, and cousins, and a special friend that was considered a sister, Tanya Allison.

He was preceded in death by his dog Layla, stepbrother Jonathon Michael, grandfathers Eugene Kohl and Richard Michael, and Uncle Jeff Michael.

A visitation will be held on Thursday July 14, 2022, from 3PM - 5PM, at the Schwarz Park Blvd Chapel, 608 S. Park Blvd in Freeport, IL.
