On October 11, 2022, Betty J. Duray got her wings and went to walk with the angels. She was 90 years old.  Betty was born on April 12, 1932 to Joseph and Genora (Yoder). She was married to her late husband Lawrence Duray for 35 years. She worked at micro switch for numerous years before retiring. Betty was a devoted grandmother, her grandchildren and great grandchildren were her life. Betty is survived by her sister Vera Boswell, daughter Jody (Christopher) Miller, son Ron (Barb) Pohl, daughter Jeannie Jarvis, grandchildren Corey (Sarah) Watter, Megan (Jeremy)Pfeiffer, Amanda Watter, Kyle Watter, Daniel Watter,  Christopher Miller, Dina Pohl, Alexander Jarvis, Nathan Jarvis, great-grandchildren: Jace & Robert Pfeiffer and Bentley & Brooklyn Watter; sister-in-law Shirley Oppold, and sister-in-law Cass Oppold. She was preceded in death by her husband Lawrence Duray, grandson Andrew Watter, son Michael Haight, sister Marie Piper, sister Joyce Rees, and brothers: Frank Oppold, Joey Oppold, and John Oppold. Betty was cared for by Corey Watter, Kyle Watter, Amanda Watter, Megan and Jeremy Pfeiffer, Jody Miller, Hospice and caregivers. Funeral service will be held on Monday October 17, 2022 at 1 PM, with visitation from 11 AM until time of service, at the Schwarz Park Blvd Chapel, 608 S. Park Blvd in Freeport, IL. Interment at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Freeport.
