Obituary

Barbara L Wilson, 84 of Stoughton Wisconsin (formerly Freeport, IL) passed away December 22, 2020 in Stoughton.
She was born April 21 , 1936, in Freeport, the Daughter of Merrill and Hazel (Blackbourn) Brown.
Barbara married Alvin L Wilson Jr on February 23,1952 in Freeport enjoying 60 years of marriage to her childhood sweetheart.

She worked for many years in Freeport always taking pride in her work and how it contributed to society. Barbara began her career in the industrial sector first at Structo before going to Burgess Battery where she was employed for many years. After leaving Burgess Battery she
worked as a setup person of injection molds at Micro Switch in Freeport completing a long and
enjoyable career there.

Once retired she was not one to take life easy. After working and raising her own children Barbara and Alvin became foster parents over the span of many years. Barbara loved working with special need children and worked on the special needs bus for the Freeport School District for
10 years.

She loved her family and getting everyone together for holidays and family reunions was an important tradition. In addition to working she also had many other interests such as collecting coins and Hummel's as well as having a very large collection of decorative plates.
Surviving are her children, Kim (Dan) Thomas of Lunenburg, MA., Timothy (Kathy) Wilson, Mark (Cindy) Wilson, both of Stoughton, WI, and Rose Wilson of Edgerton, WI; her grandchildren, Tammis (lamb) Kelley, Nathan Lamb, Rion Thomas, Timothy Wilson II, Steve Wilson, Libby (Wilson) Short, Jason Wilson, John Wilson, Dylan Erdman, and Mirissa Wilson; ten great-grandchildren; and a sister Marilyn (Brown) Pavlak, and many foster children.

She is predeceased by her parents, husband Alvin Wilson Jr, grandson Jeremy Scott Wilson, brother's Elmer Brown, Ronald Brown and Dale Brown, also her sister Mary Lois (Brown) Handel.

A private service will be held on Monday December 28, 2020, at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Freeport.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later time.
