It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, Arthur T. Easley (Tom), who passed away on July 21, 2023, in Freeport, IL., He was 82 years old. He was born on April 17, 1941., in Salem, IL to Vurl Easley and Anna Roux. Easley.

He grew up in Salem, IL and attended Salem schools. He married the love of his life, Judith Hall (Judy) and they were married at St. Mary's Church in Centralia, IL, on December 26, 1960.  They were blessed with three daughters, Raykelle (Kelly), Ramonda, and Elizabeth (Beth).

Tom had several jobs throughout his life, but the one he took most pride in was at Highland Community College. He worked as a custodian in the YMCA building, where he would eventually retire from.

Tom was a devoted family man and a loving father and grandfather. Tom loved everything outdoors, he was an avid hunter and fisherman. In his free time, he enjoyed making custom lamps and gifting them to family and friends. He was a huge Chicago Cubs and Bears fan. But most of all, Tom fell in love with the HCC basketball program. Tom took pride in the fact that his gym was always so spotless for their home games. His effort never went unnoticed because he was asked several times to travel with the team to Hutch, Kansas, for the National Tournament.­

Tom is survived by his three Daughter Raykelle Easley, Ramonda Easley, and Elizabeth McLain (Jamie) of Freeport.  Two brothers Harry (Connie) Easley of Nashville, IL and Rob (Terri) Easley of Salem, IL. His brother-in-law Mike Schwartz of Salem. Seven grandchildren: Jill Bradbury of Winnebago, and Jessica Griffin (Casey) of Florida.  Jack Shepard, Nathan (Allee) Shephard of Freeport, Katlyn McLain and Ian McLain of Freeport. Megan McLain (Blake) of Peoria Heights. He has several great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, as well as close friends Jeff and Linda McLain. And his sweet dog Max, who were in inseparable to the end.

Tom was proceeded in death by his wife Judy Easley both of his parent's, brother Carl Easley, sister Carol Schwartz, and grandson Adam Bradbury.

We want to thank Heritage Woods for treating him like family, while he resided there for almost 4 yrs. Ascension St. Joseph for providing care almost 2 months and St Croix hospice for providing excellent end of life care.
