Allen Corbitt, Jr, age 73, of Freeport, IL, passed away Saturday, August 2, 2025, at Freeport Memorial Hospital. Allen was born on June 18, 1952, to his parents, Jack Allen Corbitt and Beulah (Davis) Corbitt. Allen attended school in Calhoun, MS. Allen married the love of his life, Rosie Lee Coffey, on June 30, 1980. He was employed at one place that changed its name a few times, Kelly Springfield Tires, Goodyear Tires, and Titan Tire of Freeport, IL. Although he was gainfully employed for several years, he was a mechanic at heart and a "jack of all trades". Allen was a faithful member of the Teamster Union.

Allen leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Rosie Lee Corbitt; one son, Demetrius Anton Corbitt; one daughter, Peggy (Mario) Samuels; grandchildren, Ravone Corbitt and Brandon (Meadow) Mattson; brother, Bobby Ray (Nellie) Pratt. His memory lives on with sisters, Lynn (Mitchell) Dziduch, Sarah Corbitt (Larry) Bell, Glenda Corbitt Wright, Marry Crittenden, Juanita (Jerry) Mays, Wanda (Pastor Will) Hill, Betty Corbitt (Willie) Johnson, Minnie (Rodney) Petty, Earnestine (Archie) Edmond. He also leaves to cherish his memories are a host nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Preceding Allen in death is his parents, Jack Allen and Beulah Corbitt, son, Ronnie Allen Corbitt, sisters, Nellie Hych, Enill Corbitt, and Ayndra Corbitt, brother-in-law, Willie Wright; father-in-law, Willie Humphreys.

Allen's services will be Saturday, August 16, 2025, at Philippians Baptist Church. There will be a visitation that begins at 9:00 am and the service will begin at 11:00 am. There will be a gathering at the Stephenson County Farm Bureau directly following the committal at Chapel Hill cemetery.
